Established by Yonsei University College of Medicine’s Surgery Department, which represents the history of Korean surgery, this department at Ilsan Hospital aims to provide the latest, optimal and greatest treatment for high-quality medical service. The department is focused on the treatment of various refractory surgical infectious diseases, radical treatments for gastric cancer, colon cancer and rectal cancer and minimal invasive surgery in early stage cancer patients to enhance the cure rate. In addition, through laparoscope, the department seeks ways to ensure that patients can be discharged as early as possible. In particular, the outpatient department has up-to-date equipment that enables complex surgical procedures and ensures the safety and accuracy of surgical operation.
